 opment near Pigeon Lake. No decision will be made as to the next steps o
 f what will happen with the Watermere Resort at the public hearing. \nTh
 e most recent information session regarding the proposed development was
  an open house hosted solely by Dansol International &mdash\; the develo
 per of the project\, hosted at the Thorsby Recreation Centre on Mar. 26.
  At the open house\, locals were given the opportunity to speak with Dan
 sol representatives\, ask questions and learn more about what the Waterm
 ere Resort is all about. \nThe proposed\, privately owned\, more than 30
 0 acre Watermere Resort features 1\,149 condominium style units\, which 
 will include year-round residential and commercial sites. More specifica
 lly\, the resort will feature single and multifamily\, mixed use\, comme
 rcial area\, a hotel\, spa and several other commercial outlets.\nIf app
 roved\, it will be located to the west of Zeiner Park at Pigeon Lake. Th
 e proposed 300 plus acre development would be made up of:\n - 35 per cen
 t of greens and parks\n - Almost 44 per cent of residential dwellings\n 
 - Almost seven per cent of the hotel and spa\n - Almost 13 per cent of f
 our stormwater lakes\nAccording to the draft plan\, the development woul
